Job Summary:
Jenius Bank is a digital banking business of Manufacturers Bank, focused on creating a fully digital banking experience. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their Middleware/API engineering team, responsible for building customer-facing services and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and maintain their digital bank.
Responsibilities:
• Applying design patterns in developing scalable and highly performant application/features
• Writing code and unit tests, automation, code reviews and testing
• Deploying to production and dev ops
• Work with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
• Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Quickly generate and update proof of concepts for testing and team feedback Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Fundamentals in software engineering.
• Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Core JAVA, Database core concepts, Design Patterns.
• Team player, self-starter and passion for programming.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Organization skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies is a plus but not necessity.
