Job Description

COMPENSATION RANGE: $14.00-$16.00/hour
THE HIRING COMPANY: Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue!
THE MARKETING INTERN POSITION: Our interns work under the direction of the Marketing Department, with a goal of driving business goals and engage with our target market. You will create content, interact with followers and manage social media accounts for our diverse brands. You will also work with full time graphic designers, specialists and managers and contribute to the overall success of marketing campaigns and sales goals.
MARKETING INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with research and planning for events and marketing campaigns.
Attend select events (including nights and weekends) to help facilitate and capture content (strong photography skills preferred).
Update graphics for print and digital distribution (basic graphic design skills required).
Distribute and install posters, signage, and flyers both on-site and in the community as needed.
Support social media efforts by creating, scheduling, and monitoring content.
Research social media trends and analyze competitor content to inform marketing strategies.
MARKETING INTERN QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or coursework in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Prior experience in event planning, marketing, social media management, or graphic design is a plus.
Understanding all social media platforms, marketing strategies and analytics
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok)
Familiarity with social media analytics tools and trends.
Experience with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including some weekends.
