Texas Children’s Hospital /Baylor College of Medicine Psychology Division is recruiting a Pediatric Primary Care Psychologist for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. The psychologist in this position will join a team of pediatric primary care psychologists working within an integrated PCBH system of primary care clinics located around the Houston and Austin area.
About Texas Children's Hospital and Texas Children’s Pediatrics
The position is based in the Psychology Division of Texas Children's Hospital (TCH), which is the largest children’s hospital in the United States and the primary teaching/training center for the Baylor College of Medicine’s (BCM) Department of Pediatrics. TCH is one of only ten hospitals nationally designated by U.S. News and World Report for Honor Roll status in pediatrics, ranking in the top 10 for all ranked subspecialties. BCM and TCH are also nested in the heart of Houston, which was recently rated the 4th most ethnically diverse city in the United States (1st place when compared to other large cities). Houston is a family friendly city, with strong economy, relatively low cost of living and vibrant, international cultural and arts offerings.
Texas Children's Pediatrics provides comprehensive, family-centered pediatric care across various locations in the Houston, Austin, and Central Texas areas. Our pediatric offices offer a wide range of services for infants, children, and adolescents, including well-child visits, treatment of illnesses, immunizations, and specialized care in areas like adolescent medicine and sports injuries. Texas Children's Pediatrics is part of the larger Texas Children's Hospital system, allowing primary care patients to receive specialty based hospital care within a care continuum. The primary clinical site of care for this position is based at a Texas Children’s Pediatrics primary care clinic located in Katy, Texas (a suburb city on the west side of the greater Houston area).
