Job Description

Description We are looking for passionate candidates with a need for speed in customer service to work as a phone operator with a local non-profit. This role involves handling inbound calls, transferring calls to appropriate departments or individuals, addressing customer inquiries, and providing basic support. Phone operators are often the first point of contact for customers and play a key role in representing the company's professionalism and customer service capabilities. Responsibilities + Managing Incoming Calls + Answering, screening, and routing calls appropriately while ensuring a professional and courteous tone throughout conversations. + Providing Information + Sharing basic information with callers about company services or processes and escalating detailed inquiries to the appropriate team. + Maintain Call Logs + Documenting call details, including customer concerns, tickets, and resolutions, for operational follow-up. + Call Transfers + Directing incoming calls to correct departments or employees with efficiency and minimal disruption to business flow. + Problem Resolution + Assisting callers with minor concerns and ensuring unresolved challenges are passed to appropriate personnel. + Customer Service + Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor to ensure a satisfactory caller experience. + Database Management + Ensuring customer contact details and communication notes are updated in company systems with accuracy and efficiency. + Office Collaboration + Coordinating with other departments to improve communication protocols and streamline workflows. + Technology Use + Operate phone systems and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools as required for tracking customer interactions. Requirements Qualifications: + Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities to deliver clear and friendly assistance. + Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple calls and tasks without sacrificing attention to detail. + Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with phone systems and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) to support operational requirements. + Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of addressing customer concerns with confidence and proactivity. + Customer Service Orientation: Dedicated to providing excellent experiences and maintaining a positive company image.
