Senior Software Engineer

Loot Labs is an early-stage venture-backed startup focused on building amazing ways for users to interact with digital collectibles. Our team is comprised of talented individuals from companies like Twitch, Microsoft, EA, Shopify, and Apple. We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in an agile environment and be knowledgeable about professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement software features and functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure software meets quality standards through code reviews, testing, and automation.
• Participate in an agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior engineering talent.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Knowledge of modern tech stacks and frameworks including serverless architecture, GraphQL, React/NextJS.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• A proven track record of shipping stable web-based software products.
• Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge of blockchain technology
• Understanding of cryptography
• Experience with AWS services
• Passion for gaming and collectible items
