Job Description

Tasks:

  • Act as interface between our internal SAP organization and external network infrastructure service providers.
  • Translate technical requirements from business units into actionable IT architecture concepts and coordinate their operational implementation with external providers for LAN/WLAN (Cisco), DNS/DHCP, Firewall (Fortigate)/DMZ, and SD-WAN (Aruba)/ Internet. You are responsible for orchestrating all required services with the provider.
  • Define and enforce standards for network design, routing, and segmentation, including comprehensive network monitoring and documentation of network standards.
  • Implement, operate, and continuously improve test and development networks. Ensure the functionality and security of firewalls.
  • Provide secure connectivity between company locations and hosted applications.
  • Manage and monitor external IT service providers and vendors in the network infrastructure domain according to agreed SLAs, KPIs, and monthly reports.
  • Maintain strong relationships with service providers and conduct regular service review meetings.
  • Support budget planning and cost control for the assigned IT services.
  • All responsibilities are to be understood in a global context, requiring close coordination with local and international IT teams and business units to drive worldwide harmonization and standardization.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing external service providers is essential.
  • 2-5 years experience in network design for both LAN and WAN technologies; knowledge of Netscaler, DHCP/DNS, and Network Access Control is a plus.
  • Confident in negotiating technical concepts with service providers and driving results.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a structured and goal-oriented working style.
  • A team player with a high service orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Assertive and confident in managing external partners.
  • Quick to grasp new topics, eager to take responsibility, and proactive in contributing ideas.
  • Fluent in English.
